on 22 December 2015 as the bill was passed by the Rajya Sabha on this day. The

2012. What is the main objective of this bill? – It will lower the

Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Bill, which provides for

offender involved in the gangrape case.
2) Which
entity became the first in the country to tie up with e-Mudhra, the government
licensed certifying authority to introduce ‘eSign’? – Axis Bank
Explanation: Axis
Bank, India’s third-largest private sector lender, has partnered with digital
security company eMudhra for the eSign service. Under the eSign Service,
individuals with Aadhaar numbers will be able to digitally sign documents to
submit to the bank online. Axis Bank thus became the first organization in the
country to sign up for this service.
The
service rides on Aadhaar authentication and generates the digital signature
automatically. The generated signature is legally valid and secure.
At
present, a customer has to submit a hard copy of the application form signed
along with copies of relevant documents to apply and avail of any product or
service of a bank. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) mandates banks to acquire
basic information of the customer along with proofs for identity, domicile,
etc., under know-your-customer (KYC) norms.
e-Mudhra,
a leading digital security company, had launched the eSign service earlier in
July 2015.

ATC. The plane crashed at the airport’s outer periphery boundary wall.

4) Elon
Musk’s SpaceX successfully landed the first stage of its Falcon 9 rocket at its
landing base in Florida on 21 December 2015, thus creating a new history in
space launches. What is special about this launch? –This was largest
reusable rocket launched into orbit which returned safely to the Earth later
Explanation: Typically,
rocket boosters are used once, burning up or crashing into the ocean after
liftoff. But Elon Musk, the billionaire co-founder of PayPal and Tesla, and
Jeffrey Bezos, the founder of Amazon.com who has his own space company, have
been working on creating reusable rockets that land vertically by using their
engine thrust. If they are able to recover rockets and fly them again and
again, it would dramatically lower the cost of space flight.
During
November 2015 Bezos’ ‘Blue Origin’ flew a rocket to the edge of space, and
landed it in a remote swath of West Texas. But the flight of Musk’s SpaceX
rocket involved a much more powerful rocket and was much more complicated feat
than Bezos’.
It
is worth mentioning that SpaceX’s similar mission involving a Falcon 9 rocket
in June 2015 was miserable failure with the rocket blowing up mid-way. The
launch of 21 December used an upgraded Falcon-9 rocket.

it takes anywhere between five and 15 years for lenders to recover money in the
event of corporate default. As on date, there is no single law in India that
deals with insolvency and bankruptcy.
For
making insolvency resolution swifter, the government introduced the Insolvency
and Bankruptcy Code 2015 which seeks to amend as many as 12 existing laws,
including the Companies Act 2013, the Income-Tax Act, and the Payment and
Settlement Systems Act 2007. Insolvency professionals will assist in the
